Campaigns and instalments

Once you pay, the campaign exists in the escrow, and both sides follow it from the same page.

The funded campaign

The campaign appears on your dashboard and on the owner’s, and both of you open the same campaign page. It shows the amount in escrow, what has been released, what is still held, and each instalment with its state. The owner is told to get the placement on and photographed within 14 days.

Read from the chain

Money, schedule and status are never taken from our database, only from the contract. The status line says so: Funded, waiting for the placement, then Running once the first proof is in, Completed when every instalment is released, or Closed if some went back to you. If the chain cannot be reached, the page shows nothing rather than a guess.

The schedule

The first instalment is tied to the placement. Each later one has a due day, counted from the first proof. Every instalment’s share and day are fixed in the contract when the campaign is created, and shown on the campaign page. For a one-month run there are two instalments: 40% against the first proof, and 60% thirty days after it.

Instalment stateWhat it means
Awaiting proofIts due day has not come, or the owner has not sent the photo yet
ProvedA proof is in; your seven days to dispute are running
Ready to releaseThe window has closed; anyone can release it
ReleasedPaid to the owner, less the fee
DisputedFrozen, waiting for the arbiter; the others carry on
RefundedReturned to you

Notes between the two sides

Each campaign has short notes, kept with the campaign and visible to both sides. The other side is told when you leave one. Use them for practical things: a print question, a date, an intention to renew.

The end of the run

A run ends when the last instalment’s proof window closes. Both sides are reminded 14 days and 7 days before, so a renewal can be arranged in time.

Open to bids again

When the run ends, the panel is free and the owner can open a new auction on it. The brand that ran the last campaign there is told first, with a notice that the panel is open to bids again, and can bid to continue. Nobody else is told before you. The new auction works like any other: see Bidding.
